Check-In Button

To send a check-in notification, hold the center button down for 3 seconds. Once released, the Venture’s GPS indicator will blink to show that the device is attempting to obtain the current location of the Venture. Once the GPS indicator stops blinking, the Venture’s cellular indicator will blink showing the Venture is attempting to send the check-in notification.

Battery Indicator

The battery indicator flashes slowly when the device is charging and becomes solid when the device is fully charged. When powering up the Venture, the battery indicator light turns on then off to indicate the device has successfully turned on. The battery indicator stays off until the Venture is connected to the charger.

Cellular Indicator

The cellular indicator light slowly flashes while the Venture is attempting to connect to the cellular network. A quick flash of the light means that the Venture is attempting to transmit data to the server. When powering up the Venture, the cellular indicator light turns on and then off to indicate the Venture has successfully turned on.

Indoor Monitoring

The indoor monitoring status light blinks when the Venture is unable to obtain a GPS position and attempts to obtain a location indoors. Otherwise, the indoor monitoring light will remain off. When powering up the Venture, the indoor monitoring light turns on and then off to indicate the Venture has successfully turned on.

GPS Indicator

The GPS indicator light blinks when the Venture is attempting to obtain its current location. Once it has obtained its location, the light will remain off, but the location will be visible on the map in the app. When powering up the Venture, the GPS indicator light turns on and then off to indicate the Venture has successfully turned on.

Power Button

Push and hold the power button for 2 seconds or until all status lights turn on and then off. This indicates that the Venture has successfully powered on. To turn off the device, press and hold the power button for 4 seconds until the battery indicator light turns on and then off. This indicates that the Venture has successfully powered off.

Charging Port and Port Cover

The hard-rubberized cover over the charging port protects the Venture’s charging port from outside elements. To charge the device please follow the steps listed below:

  1. Gently remove the rubber cover from the charging port.
  2. Plug the USB end of the charging cable into the AC adapter.

  5. If everything is plugged in correctly and the battery is charging, the battery indicator blinks. Once the device is fully charged, the battery indicator light stays on.
